After enjoying our time, dancing, the Masai invited us to explore their community that consisted of mud houses. According to one of the Masai men, it takes several days for the men to collect all the resources for the house and woman one week to build the home. Additionally, I was informed that the Masai travel according to the rainfall in order for their cattle to survive.
We were lucky enough to enter one of their homes. Each home had a small fire to cook, an area to sleep for the parents and an area for the children to rest. Afterwards, we shopped their handmade collection of jewelry, key chains, and more. It was refreshing to see a different way of living and how happy the Masai were to answer our questions. |
